Meet Our Director
Aaron Abiog, PT, DPT
Bio
Aaron Abiog graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. in Exercise Science. He graduated Touro College where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and a second B.S. in Health Science. During his tenure Touro College, he served as the physical therapy program’s student body president. With an intense interest in treating sports-related injuries, and a desire to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance, Aaron furthered his expertise by becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
After completing clinical affiliations in outpatient clinics in New York, he joined Twin Boro Physical Therapy in 2015. After initially treating as a staff Therapist he advanced to the Clinical Director of the Piscataway site.
Aaron has taken several continuing education courses with the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, as well as with Great Lakes Seminars. He has even attended courses taught by Shirley Sahrmann, a leading physical therapist in the field.
When treating patients or managing other therapists, Aaron implements Twin Boro’s One2FourTM Care Model to determine the “right level of health care” for each individual. This unique approach looks at the entire episode of care for the patient or athlete. This ranges from a relatively low level of function a patient might experience post injury or surgery all the way through to the peak performance required to return to their prior or preferred level of function. Therapists that skillfully combine manual therapy with evolving functional exercise along the One2FourTM continuum strive to achieve the individual’s “meaningful goals” and “desired outcomes”.
