Meet Our Director

Colleen Goodwin, MPT

Colleen Goodwin, MPT, is a 2000 graduate from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Physical Therapy and Clinic Director for Twin Boro-Cape May Court House. Her interest in physical therapy began in high school where after rehabbing from several sports injuries she began volunteering at a local PT clinic. This prompted her to start her schooling journey toward becoming a physical therapist.

Before joining Twin Boro, Colleen began her career as a staff PT at Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation, specializing in neurological diagnoses such as CVA, SCI, and post-polio syndrome. She then spent the last 17 years as a Clinic Director honing her skills as an orthopedic and vestibular therapist, with special interest in post-surgical and positional vertigo. Colleen has been trained in a wide range of evidence-based interventions including, McConnell and KT taping, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and vestibular habituation rehab. When treating patients Colleen prides herself on a person first approach to treatment, making sure her clients’ goals and needs are in the forefront when determining the proper focus of their rehab program.

Colleen enjoys time with her husband and two children, boating and traveling. She continues to be involved with sports, coaching her daughter’s basketball team and participating in a CrossFit program herself. In CrossFit Colleen has received her L1 training and coaches at her local gym.

I came to Twin Boro Physical Therapy in Cape May Court House because I knew of Colleen's reputation as an excellent and experienced Physical Therapist. When I arrived I had almost constant burning pain down my leg and pain and spasm in my lower body both sides. After a necessary pain management intervention, Colleen worked with me to find the excercises that would help me strengthen without kicking up the pain and spasms. I knew I had come a long way when I started dancing (a little) to some music in the clinic! Although I have a chronic condition, I'm much better. I have a lot of my life back and I'm so grateful. And Colleen has great hands too!!! Thank you Colleen!!! And Loring at the front desk will take good care of you too!!!

I came to Twin Boro with horrible lower back pain and sciatica. Thought it was just a pit stop before pain management or spine surgery. Colleen was great. Always smiling and energetic with a positive attitude. She had me more functional after just a few sessions with continued progression over the next 6 weeks. She taught me what to do at home as well, to the point where I could be discharged and able to manage on my own. I highly recommend Colleen at Twin Boro.Jack L.Cape May
