Meet Our Director
Konrad Roslonek DPT, PT
Konrad Roslonek graduated from New Jersey City University with a B.S. in Biology. His love of sports and science grew through high school and after playing college football he pursued a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at CUNY Graduate Center. Konrad earned Suma Cum Laude honors graduating as part of the first Doctorate of Physical Therapy class the CUNY Graduate Center offered. He received the faculty award from CUNY Graduate Center for academic excellence. He is currently pursuing a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification.
Konrad has worked for Twin Boro for over 12 years and has held several positions over the years. Starting out as a Patient Service Representative, Physical Therapy Aide, Staff Physical Therapist, and Clinical Director of the Newark location where he gained the knowledge and expertise of running a busy Physical Therapy setting. His experience at the Newark has allowed him to treat professional baseball and basketball players in addition to the more common industrial athletes. Although outpatient Physical Therapy is his expertise, Konrad has years of experience working in a sub-acute setting, keeping him abreast of different treatment techniques for treating patients who recently suffered strokes or traumatic brain injury as well as various neurological conditions. He currently serves as Regional Director of the Essex County locations which include Newark and Millburn.
Konrad takes a personal approach to Physical Therapy treatment, he takes the time to understand the patients’ needs and what they want to gain through PT services. He has a good working knowledge of the treatment of workers compensation patients with a focus on returning patient to work without pain. He has taken several continuing education classes over his 12-year career with Twin Boro, they include focus on sacroiliac dysfunction and its relation to low back pain, shoulder dysfunction, knee conditions, functional myofascial release techniques, and various muscle energy techniques.
When treating patients or managing other therapists, Konrad implements Twin Boro’s One2FourTM Care Model to determine the “right level of health care” for each individual. This unique approach looks at the entire episode of care for the patient or athlete. This ranges from a relatively low level of function a patient might experience post injury or surgery all the way through to the peak performance required to return to their prior or preferred level of function. Therapists that skillfully combine manual therapy with evolving functional exercise along the One2FourTM continuum strive to achieve the individual’s “meaningful goals” and “desired outcomes”.
