Meet Our Director
Lucas Herget, PT, DPT

Bio
Lucas Herget’s interest in playing sports such as soccer, hockey, and baseball guided him to choose the field of physical therapy as a career. Lucas graduated from Rowan University with a B.S. in Exercise Science and completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University. Upon graduating from Sacred Heart Lucas joined Twin Boro Physical Therapy as a staff therapist in the Westwood clinic and has advanced to become the Director of the Butler facility.
Lucas has treated patients with a variety of neurological and orthopedic issues. His experience and training has correlated to positive patient results helping them improve their quality of life and return them to their previous level of function.
Lucas’ educational background and experience followed the fundamentals of treating the whole patient, making sure each evaluation and treatment approach is patient-specific, helping patients achieve their specific goals. He advanced his training utilizing evidence-based interventions which include soft tissue techniques, Maitland/Mulligan joint mobilizations, functional myofascial release, and instrumented assisted soft tissue mobilization.
When treating patients or managing other therapists, Lucas implements Twin Boro’s One2FourTM Care Model to determine the “right level of health care” for each individual. This unique approach looks at the entire episode of care for the patient or athlete – from a relatively low level of function a patient might experience post injury or surgery all the way through to the peak performance required to return to their prior or preferred level of function. Therapists that skillfully combine manual therapy with evolving functional exercise along the One2FourTM continuum, strive to achieve the individual’s “meaningful goals” and “desired outcomes”.
