Meet Your Director

John Murray, PT, DPT

Dr. John Murray graduated as the president of the class of 2019 from Widener University, receiving his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT). Dr. Murray’s clinical experience includes treating a variety of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and neuromuscular conditions, along with assisting specialties of lymphedema, pelvic floor, and vestibular rehabilitation. His interest lies in treating musculoskeletal injuries, for individuals all ages, and utilizing manual skills to increase functionality of each person.

Dr. Murray’s passion for physical therapy started during his experiences as a patient. Once an entertainer, he had to stop performance due to back injuries. During his treatments, he was enlightened about the field of physical therapy and how it benefits individuals throughout their lifespan. After successful treatment, he returned performing for a number of years till completion of his schooling.

During his career, Dr. Murray has advanced his knowledge with certification as Titleist Performance Expert. Using his vast knowledge of body mechanics, he is able to make the body swing connection to help golfers of all skill levels reach the goals the dream to achieve.

As the Twin Boro Game Shape Manalapan Clinic Director, Dr. Murray holds weekly clinical staff meetings, manages the support staff, and tracks clinical KPI’s. He is a great leader and an asset to the Team!

I’ve just started a twin Boro so it’s hard to leave a review yet. So far I’m very satisfied. But I’m not really sure what exactly I’m supposed to have for Knee Replacement yet and I’m in midst of so much pain at this time that I’m just following whatever I’m told to do. I have Jaceline as a PT,l and she by is very good. I like the vibe, but at the moment I hate going. But that’s not on them. That’s on me. I I will update my review after I’ve gone for sometime.

Jacqueline D Dejean PT, DPT, is the best PT that I have encountered thus far. The “hands” on approach allows her to locate and identify the point of pain with her fingers. Then she prescribes and provides data driven equipment and exercises to strengthen the specific area of need and improve/alleviate sources of pain. Her staff is just as knowledgeable as they provide expert care.

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of receiving physical therapy at Twin Borough in Millburn. Jacelin Dejean was my physical therapist. I found her to be very pleasant, professional, and very well skilled.She took great care in showing me the various exercises which I needed to do for relief of my pain. She showed genuine concern by frequently inquiring how much pain relief I was feeling as a result of the exercises. After completing the 6 weeks course of therapy, my pain was significantly relieved. She also gave me some illustrations of exercises that I could continue at home.I am very satisfied with my experience there and I am happy that I had her as my therapist. I would gladly recommend Jacelin to anyone I know to who is in need of an excellent physical therapist.

I was thinking about hanging up my skates due to the pain and lack of mobility on the ice. I was going through my physical therapy yesterday when another patient across the room started praising his therapist for the wounderful results he was experiencing, far more than he expected and in areas beyond his main focus. Another patient joined in and confirmed she was very pleased with her progress with a different therapist. I have had the same experience with my therapist and am amazed at the wide variations in age, physical health, body parts, sports and levels of participation we all represent.I went in this past Friday for the first time in quite a while as my usual days are Monday through Thursday. There was a different group of patients and therapists etc., but I noticed and felt the same positivity, joint support and participation, positive mood and interaction amongst patients and therapists as I do on the other days.I have experienced the best environment, group interaction, and physical analysis and solutions possible and highly commend John for his leadership. And over the more-than-a-year experience I have had with a varied group of body parts worked on, I have the highest praise (hope my spelling is close enough and in no particular order) for John, Rob, Drew, Matt (both of them!), Ara, Reid, Suneta, Rose, Kiana, Gabriella, Brianna...I apologize for any mistakes but hope my message is clear: they are the best and work well as a team and individually each in their own way to help us patients succeed. This is my 3rd time coming to Game Shape for different symptoms but as always, it’s a pleasure! John is so helpful and knowledgeable. He knew every specific point on my shoulder that needed attention. He also applied cupping therapy which I had never done before and each time it relieved my soreness and pain. Reid is also tracking your exercises and makes sure you’re performing them correct and will inform you if you missed any. I also enjoyed the conversations with them. Just had my last physical therapy session on December 13, 2024. The staff at Game Shape Physical Therapy are wonderful people. My movement when I started doing therapy was difficult in the beginning and the pain could drop a person to their knees. At home I was using a cane for stability. Doctors Robert and John who assisted me and their assistants Gaby, Leyla, Reid and Matt were great and easy to talk to and made each visit a positive experience. Rob and John are competent doctors in the field and we moved forward gaining improvement week after week and today I am on the go again. No pain! At all! Rose and Kiana at the front desk just as pleasant. Appts are very accommodating and I am continuing my exercises at home. I’ve learned a lot. You need to choose Game Shape!

After two weeks of therapy, I began to notice significant improvement, and by the four-week mark, I was nearly fully restored to my daily activities with minimal to no pain. Dr. Arah, who was my therapist during the initial four weeks, provided exceptional care and facilitated substantial progress.
