Bio

Michael Borst, PT, DPT, CSCS, is a dedicated physical therapist with a passion for sports rehabilitation and performance training. His journey into physical therapy was shaped by his own experiences as an athlete, having sustained football-related injuries that fueled his desire to help others recover and excel.

Borst earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in Miami and holds a B.S. in Exercise Science and Applied Kinesiology from Rutgers University. His background in strength and conditioning allows him to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and peak performance, ensuring his patients receive well-rounded, high-level care.

Before joining Twin Boro Physical Therapy in Martinsville in April 2023, Borst served as a Clinic Director at a sports physical therapy clinic in New Jersey, where he specialized in the treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries of all types. In addition, he provided treatment for professional football players across 25 NFL teams in Miami and was part of the rehabilitation team for NFL Combine Prep, helping elite athletes optimize their recovery and performance.

As a former strength and conditioning coach, Borst prioritizes functional movement, progressive exercise prescription, and evidence-based interventions to help his patients achieve long-term success.

I've been here twice for PT- once for my shoulder, and once for my back. Matt handled my shoulder rehab and Arjun handled my back rehab. They're both fantastic- very friendly and outgoing, and very knowledgeable. Arjun remembered small details from our chats about my life weeks later, which is really impressive considering how many patients he must see. Matt recognized me over a year after he had seen me and asked how my shoulder was feeling.Also, they have PT students in training that assist with getting you equipment, telling you what exercise is next, monitoring how the exercise is going, etc. All of them were very nice and friendly.Both of my rehabs went great, with substantial improvement in range of motion for both. I hope to not have to do PT again, but this would be the place I would choose every time if I had to.

I had been suffering with pain in my right up for 5 months. I started PT when the pain started; it definitely helped but the pain just kept getting worse. Then my fabulous PT Nancy suggested I ask about getting my back scanned, rather than just my hip. 5 doctors overseeing my care but Nancy was the one who had the solution. Back scans showed I had a large cyst in my spine. I was immediately scheduled for surgery. I’m so much better now, with PT post op and Nancy’s help. Thank you!

I had rotator cuff surgery 6 months ago. To me, the rehab was difficult. The staff at PT Solutions in Lansdale took excellent care of me. They are creative in their solutions. They explained how each exercise impacted my recovery. They were kind and gentle (not too gentle during stretching in the first couple months. My tendon was shortened during surgery. Stretching had to happen). They motivated me to work hard to get back to my pre surgical normal. There are multiple staff that coordinated my care with each other. Because of this, scheduling was super easy. I could schedule on any day of the week and not have to arrange treatment with one persons schedule. After giving them copies of my insurance cards, I never heard a word about insurance. They were totally on top of that. I highly recommend this facility to anyone need physical therapy. I went in for physical therapy for my broken ankle, tibia, and fibular; the therapy I received exceeded my expectation. Ricardo's expertise in my rehabilitation process was spectacular. Considering my injury, I did not expect to quickly be able to begin walking and moving around without mobility assistance. I highly recommend Twinboro in Union. I have been using them for many years for various issues, including hip and currently for my elbow. Everybody there is very competent and friendly especially Jackie - my go to for PT. She’s experienced in various modalities and after 2 to 3 weeks my tennis elbow has been greatly improved- greater mobility and less pain. I am able to do the tasks I could not do before.This location is very spread out, wide open and clean. It’s a very comfortable atmosphere thanks to everybody there.Front desk staff is amazing also, especially Sue and Alicia, who are always very accommodating when making appointments, putting through the paperwork and greeting you at the front desk.

In particular my current therapist “Greg” Gregory Dahl has been diligently working on my left knee after I had a left total knee replacement since March 25th 2026 and i really appreciate him helping me with the progress I have made so far.
