Sit on a chair and place your feet flat on the floor. Place a bowl on the floor by your feet and a few marbles on the ground alongside it. Use the toes of the foot experiencing foot drop to pick up marbles and place them in the bowl. You can then pick up marbles from the bowl and place them back on the floor. Repeat for 5 to 10 minutes.

Foot rocks

Stand in front of a sturdy surface, such as a table or wall. Placing your hands against the stable surface, rock back and forth from your heels to your toes. Pause at each end of the rock (with your toes in the air and then your heels in the air) and hold for 5 seconds. Repeat the rocking for 5 minutes or as able.

Ankle dorsiflexion

To perform this stretch, sit on the ground with your legs stretched out in front of you. Loop a resistance band around the top of your affected foot and then anchor the other end to a table or other sturdy surface. Position yourself so that you can pull your toes toward your body against resistance and then relax them into a neutral position. Repeat 10 times.
