Strulowitz & Gargiulo Physical Therapy is a network of four outpatient rehabilitation clinics located in Hudson and Essex Counties. Since the first location opened in 1984, owner and president Carl Gargiulo, PT, DPT and his staff have provided rehabilitation services to local communities with a patient-focused model and developed a reputation as a mainstay for treatment in the process. In 2019, Strulowitz & Gargiulo Physical Therapy partnered with Twin Boro Physical Therapy. Through this partnership, even more patients will be given the opportunity to access their top-notch care and a team that stands committed to bettering their health.
The Strulowitz & Gargiulo-Twin Boro staff is committed to using only the latest evidence-based principles through treatment programs that are personally tailored to each patient based on their abilities and goals. The four locations treat a variety of injuries and disorders that affect movement, function, and participation in daily life, and also offers several preventative interventions that reduce the risk for accidents and injuries. Conditions treated and services provided include the following:
Strulowitz & Gargiulo-Twin Boro prides itself on optimizing the patient experience, which starts and ends with the use of a one-on-one approach. From the initial evaluation all the way through discharge, its physical therapists work closely with each patient and guide every step of their recovery process so that they understand how their treatment plan works and are prepared for what to expect on their journey back to full strength and function.
Strulowitz & Gargiulo-Twin Boro has made it a mission to actively serve the Hudson and Essex County communities of which it is a part. In addition to the care provided at each of its four locations, their physical therapists also treat patients in local hospitals, schools, homes, businesses, and any other location where an individual may be in need. Since they have been in operation, physical therapists at their Jersey City and Bayonne locations have proudly treated members of the respective police and fire departments, and the practice was closely involved in the St. Anthony High School basketball program as the go-to treatment center for injured players for several decades. The Jersey City Medical Center and Clara Maass Medical Center also give lectures and participate in a variety of programs with the hospitals, all of which are intended to improve the health and wellbeing of local community members.
